IDCS is located in the former American Thermos Bottle Co. manufacturing plant. The school has undergone several remodels and additions since its inception in 1997.
IDCS Students integrate music into their weekly learning.
The IDCS Playground sits along the Thames River and was remodeled in 2019.

Students in Mrs. Morse's Integrated 4th and 5th grade class have a lively debate and discussion about the pros and cons of having vending machines in schools.
