ABOUT
IDCS offers students in grades 3 to 8 the opportunity to participate in non-league, competitive sports seasonally. Cross Country in the fall, Basketball in the winter and Track & Field in the Spring. Older students in Cross Country and Track & Field with qualifying times may also be eligible for State Competitions. Intramural sports are offered intermittently based on interest.
REGISTRATION & PAYMENT
Registration for sports programs are advertised several weeks in advance of the program start date and can also be found on each of the sports individual webpages.
All Sports Payments should be sent in an envelope clearly marked with your child's name and the sport they are paying for. Checks should be made payable to IDCS. Scholarships are available based on financial need to students who have not previously received a scholarship during the current school year. If you wish to apply for a scholarships, please contact Monique Kercado.
Students may also be required to purchase uniforms. Uniforms for borrowing are available on a first come, first served basis.
TRANSPORTATION
Bus transportation will be provided to all local off site meets and games that take place at the end of regularly scheduled school days. Parents and/or Guardians must arrange to pick up their children promptly at the end of the meet or game. There is no transportation provided for meets or games that take place on the weekend, non-school days, or are outside of the local area. All information regarding meet or game transportation will be on the Sports Calendar.
REQUIREMENTS
In addition to Registration and Payments, parents will also be asked to complete a Sports Permission Form and arrange for their child to have a Sports Physical annually before participating in the Athletics Program.
