Position: 7/8  Math Teacher

What is the most inspiring part of your job?

The students. There is no better feeling than watching their faces light up when they finally understand something for the first time. 

Family, Pets, Home:

I live in Uncasville with my husband, Nick and our 2 dogs, Shadow and Brody.

Hobbies, Skills, Talents OR what do you like to do when you are not working?

I love to play basketball, I started playing when I was 6 and continued all the way through high school. I also am a huge football (Minnesota Vikings) and baseball (Boston Red Sox) fan. I try to go to at least 1 game every year. 

Who is someone you admire and why?

My parents, they are my biggest supporters and always taught me to never give up on your dreams, even when times get tough. I also admire many of my past teachers that I had growing up, some of those teachers are the reason why I am a teacher today. 

What is something you want to learn more about?

I would love to learn more about native American history. History was my least favorite subject in school but my husband is a huge history enthusiast so I would love to learn more so I can relate to what he is passionate about.   

If you had to eat only one food for the rest of your life what would it be?

Chicken tenders and fries, it’s always my go-to at restaurants when I can’t decide what I want. It hits the spot everytime!

If you were a new addition to the crayon box, what color would you be and why?

Definitely purple, but more of a light purple.
