Name: Peggy Rankowitz
Position: School Nurse
Number of Years @ IDCS: I am new to IDCS as an employee this fall. I have three children who attended IDCS so I have a 16 year history at IDCS.
What is the most inspiring part of your job?
The most inspiring part of my job are my patients. Whether adults in the hospital or students at the school. People are so interesting and have so much to teach you. People have tremendous courage and strength and humor. You can always share a hello and a smile and make someone feel better.

My three children are Ethan, Jacob and Emma.
We live in Preston with my husband Michael.
Hobbies, Skills, Talents OR what do you like to do when you are not working?
My favorite hobbies would be gardening and enjoying nature.
If you had to eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
The food that I would like to eat for the rest of my life is pie. Pie dates to the ancient Greeks. It can be a dessert like blueberry pie, it can be a breakfast like quiche or dinner as in Shepard’s pie and pizza. Sweet or savory. Yum.
