IDCS Track is a seasonal, non-league athletic program designed to develop speed, endurance, strength, and technique in a structured team environment. The program supports both sprint and distance athletes while emphasizing personal growth, teamwork, and sportsmanship. -
Track typically runs during the spring season.
Practices are generally held three days per week after school at an off-campus track facility. Practice days, times, and seasonal details are posted annually on the Sports Calendar and shared with families via ParentSquare.
Practices are not held on half days, holidays, snow days, or days when school is closed. -
- Enrollment is limited and available on a first come, first served basis
- A completed registration form and payment are required to reserve a spot
- Registration and program information (coaches, schedule, etc.) are sent out to families via ParentSquare a couple of weeks prior to program start date
- Program fees are processed through ProCare
- Scholarships may be available based on financial need (one sport per school year)

Attendance is taken at each practice. Students are expected to attend regularly and participate fully.
Practices typically include:- Team warm-up and dynamic stretching
- Group-based training (sprints and distance)
- Skill development, conditioning, and strength work
- Cool-down jog and stretching
All students must:
- Bring their own water bottle
- Wear appropriate athletic clothing for weather conditions
- Layers for warm-ups and cool-downs
- Athletic shoes designed for running

Meet schedules are posted on the Sports Calendar once finalized.
- Transportation to practices and meets is not provided
- Parents/guardians are responsible for drop-off and pick-up at the practice location and at the conclusion of meets

Students are expected to wear an IDCS team shirt and black athletic shorts. Team shirts may be available for purchase each season. Additional uniform details are provided at registration.

Prior to participation, families must:
- Review the Athletic Handbook
- Complete the following required forms:
- Sports Permission Form
- Sports Physical Form (completed annually)
If these forms have already been completed for another sport during the current school year, they do not need to be resubmitted.

Students must be picked up promptly at the scheduled end time. Late pick-up may result in additional charges. Repeated late pick-ups or ongoing behavioral concerns may result in removal from the program without refund.

Students are expected to:
- Remain with their coach for the duration of all practices and events
- Follow all team rules and safety expectations
- Demonstrate respectful behavior both on and off campus
Failure to meet behavioral expectations may result in dismissal from the program without refund.

Weather-related cancellations or schedule changes will be communicated via ParentSquare.
