Meet & Greet Opportunities

Before the school year begins, teachers will connect with families to help students feel comfortable, welcomed, and excited for the year ahead.

Students who are new to their teacher's class will be invited to participate in a home visit. Home visits take place during the month of August. Teachers will begin reaching out during the first couple of weeks of August to schedule a convenient time. Communication may come through email, ParentSquare (post or direct message), phone call, or text message. Please keep an eye on all forms of communication so you don't miss this wonderful opportunity to connect with your child's teacher, learn about the upcoming school year, receive important classroom information, and ask any questions you may have.

Students returning to the same teacher will typically be invited to a Back-to-School Class or Grade Gathering, usually held one to two weeks before the first day of school. These gatherings are a fun way for students to reconnect with classmates, meet new classmates, become familiar with the classroom, and start the school year feeling confident and prepared.

Teachers will share details about these gatherings through email, ParentSquare, phone, or text, so please be sure to check your messages regularly throughout August.
